[Nail Art] Pastel Easter

I'm not religious, but for those of you who are...

Happy Easter Sunday!

I actually should be studying for an exam right now, but...but....

The Easter Special is only a one-time chance out of one whole year!! T_T

Since I aced the first exam, I guess it wouldn't hurt my grade much. =P

Sorry, no Easter eggs! =O

 The Easter nail materials are:
  •  base coat
  • clear coat
  • white polish
  • blue polish
  • yellow polish
  • green polish
  • pink polish
  • silver glitter polish
  • sponge
  • Vaseline
 Step 1: Apply base coat

Step 2: Apply Vaseline on the fingers

Step 3: Apply the Easter colors on the sponge in random order

Step 4: Dap the sponge on to the nails

Tap lightly, and make sure your pattern is in the right angle!

[Nail Art] Cherry Blossom Pink

It feels good to be back from hiatus! =)

Today was such a nice sunny day, so I took some pictures of cherry blossoms on my way home.

So this is my inspiration for today's belated update...Will you forgive me??T_T

I photographed the flower by using a Android application called Retro Camera.
It's pretty neat!

Today's nail art is going to be....(drum roll, please~)

A glittery pink gradient with cute cherry blossom designs! =D
__________________________________________________________________________________

 Today's materials:
  • Vaseline
  • Sponge
  • Pin needle
  • Aluminum foil
  • Base coat
  • Clear polish
  • Silver glitter polish
  • White polish
  • Pink polish
  • Gold glitter art pen
 Step 1: Apply base coat

Like we always do ;D

Step 2: Apply Vaseline on your skin

To easily clean the upcoming mess! =O

Step 3: Apply pink polish to sponge

By the edge of course!

Step 4: Tap the sponge onto the nail horizontally

And tap away to make a nice pretty gradient~

Step 5: Remove the excess polish on the sides of the nails

Easily removed thanks to Vaseline! <3

Step 6: Apply silver glitter polish

Just over the gradient only!

Step 7: After pouring some white polish on aluminum foil, dip the pin tip

Make sure you have just enough so it won't drip on the wrong place of your nail! =(

Step 8: Make five white dots in a pentagonal arrangement

Like any cherry blossom petals would look like. =)

Step 9: Lay pin needle 30 degrees from your nail and lightly scrape the middle of the circles

Away from the center in a radiating format! >=D

Step 10: Apply gold glitter in the center of the flower petals with an art pen

You always need some sort of yellow tone for the pollen-producing organ of the flower.
(Asian nerd talk!) =D

 Step 11: Apply clear coat

Always neccessary for a long lasting nail art! ;)

Complete!

[Nail Art] Chic Zebra Print

A couple of days ago, I went to Everland and it was fun!!! =D

The last time I had been there was years ago, and I found the Safari very entertaining.

So, today's design is going to be..........Drum roll please~

Zebra Print!!!!! >_<

Heck yes! Also, I am actually thinking about uploading a leopard print next week!

We'll see how it turns out! ;D

Lion King music in the background~

 Today's necessary items are:
  • Base coat
  • Clear polish
  • White polish
  • Glitter polish (preferably silver)
  • Black nail art pen
  • Sponge
  • Vaseline
 Step 1: Apply base coat

This is very important because it lessens the damage to your nails!

Step 2: Paste vaseline on the skin of each finger

This will save us time from removing the nail polish on the skin after sponge dapping.

Step 3: Apply white polish on the edge of the sponge

Are you ready for the mess? >=D

Step 4: Dap the sponge diagonally until the end of the nail is coloured

We don't want to leave any ugly white end of our nails to show, do we? ;)

Step 5: Apply glitter polish on the edge of the sponge

Just as we did with the white polish~

Step 6: Dap the sponge diagonally fading into the white gradient

Step 7: Draw zebra pattern diagonally with black nail art pen

Start from the sides then lightly lift the art pen to narrow the ends.

Step 8: Apply clear coat

Let it dry and we're done! =D

Tada! Here is our chic end result! >_<

We'll see you next weekend!!

[Nail Art] Saint Patrick's Day Gradient

Yikes! This one's very overdue! o_o

My bad, I had to go take a driver's test a couple of days ago.

Everything is computerized...Especially the scoring...

And I screwed up at the last bit of the course! Blarg!

I hate you, parallel parking!!! >=(

Aside all the complaining, Saint Patrick's Day is here! =D

Saint Patrick's Day is an Irish holiday celebrating the introduction of Christianity in Ireland. Saint Patrick was actually from Roman Britain around the 4th century and was kidnapped by Irish raiders when he was sixteen. Eventually, he fled back to Britain only to return to Ireland to Spread the word of God.

I love Wikipedia. >=D

Instead of the cliche clover patterns, I decided to go for a two-tone gradient.

It will be more easy to match with your outfits the next day. ovo

My only green polish was very light so I decided to use yellow also!
_______________________________________________________________________________________

 The materials you need:
  • Glitter polish
  • Base coat
  • Clear polish
  • Green polish (preferably light)
  • Yellow polish
  • Vaseline (our lifesaver)
  • Sponge (any type would suffice)

Step 1: Apply the bast coat

Like we always do~

Step 2: Apply vaseline on the skin of every finger

Dapping the sponge can make a mess on the sides of your fingers! =(

Step 3: Apply yellow polish on the straight edge of the sponge

Are you ready for the next step? =D

Step4: Dap the painted sponge on to the nail

Work your way from the tip of the nail to 2/3 of the way up.

This is so the yellow can look faded on the middle of your nail as you tap from the tip. ;)

Step 5: Apply the green polish on another edge of the sponge

Let's reuse 'em!! =D

Step 6: Dap the painted sponge to the nail

It is basically the same process as the yellow, but let the green fade about the middle of your nail! =)

Step 7: Remove the mess on the sides of each finger

Vaseline does help alot in these kind of situations, doesn't it? >=D

Step 8: Apply glitter polish

Make sure not to let the glitter cover up the colors!

Just a thin layer should do just fine. ;D

Step 9: Apply clear polish

Get a habit of doing this step because it does have a function!

Nail arts with clear coat tend to last few more days than nail arts without it. =O

Voila! No more worries about getting pinched to death! Yay! =D

The Pinchfest is on!!! >=D
