[Nail Art] Pastel Easter

I'm not religious, but for those of you who are...

Happy Easter Sunday!

I actually should be studying for an exam right now, but...but....

The Easter Special is only a one-time chance out of one whole year!! T_T

Since I aced the first exam, I guess it wouldn't hurt my grade much. =P

Sorry, no Easter eggs! =O

 The Easter nail materials are:
  •  base coat
  • clear coat
  • white polish
  • blue polish
  • yellow polish
  • green polish
  • pink polish
  • silver glitter polish
  • sponge
  • Vaseline
 Step 1: Apply base coat

Step 2: Apply Vaseline on the fingers

Step 3: Apply the Easter colors on the sponge in random order

Step 4: Dap the sponge on to the nails

Tap lightly, and make sure your pattern is in the right angle!

Step 5: Remove excess nail polish on the skin

Easily done with Vaseline pasted on to the hand =)

Step 6: Apply silver glitter polish

Just to lighten up the matted colors. ;D

 Step 7: Apply top coat

Complete!!  =D

[Nail Art] Cherry Blossom Pink

It feels good to be back from hiatus! =)

Today was such a nice sunny day, so I took some pictures of cherry blossoms on my way home.

So this is my inspiration for today's belated update...Will you forgive me??T_T

I photographed the flower by using a Android application called Retro Camera.
It's pretty neat!

Today's nail art is going to be....(drum roll, please~)

A glittery pink gradient with cute cherry blossom designs! =D

 Today's materials:
  • Vaseline
  • Sponge
  • Pin needle
  • Aluminum foil
  • Base coat
  • Clear polish
  • Silver glitter polish
  • White polish
  • Pink polish
  • Gold glitter art pen
 Step 1: Apply base coat

Like we always do ;D

Step 2: Apply Vaseline on your skin

To easily clean the upcoming mess! =O

Step 3: Apply pink polish to sponge

By the edge of course!

Step 4: Tap the sponge onto the nail horizontally

And tap away to make a nice pretty gradient~

Step 5: Remove the excess polish on the sides of the nails

Easily removed thanks to Vaseline! <3

Step 6: Apply silver glitter polish

Just over the gradient only!

Step 7: After pouring some white polish on aluminum foil, dip the pin tip

Make sure you have just enough so it won't drip on the wrong place of your nail! =(

Step 8: Make five white dots in a pentagonal arrangement

Like any cherry blossom petals would look like. =)

Step 9: Lay pin needle 30 degrees from your nail and lightly scrape the middle of the circles

Away from the center in a radiating format! >=D

Step 10: Apply gold glitter in the center of the flower petals with an art pen

You always need some sort of yellow tone for the pollen-producing organ of the flower.
(Asian nerd talk!) =D

 Step 11: Apply clear coat

Always neccessary for a long lasting nail art! ;)

Complete!

[Nail Art] Vintage Newspaper

I finally passed that miserable Korean driving test and earned my permit! >=D

Thanks to my friend who needed a French-to-English translation from a website, I decided to give the brand new technique a try.

It did not result as nicely as I wished, but what can I say; it was my first try. ;D

Middle and ring finger design got messed up... =(
________________________________________________________________________________

 Today you will need:
  • newspaper
  • scissors
  • clear polish
  • nude-color polish
  • base coat
  • hand sanitizer or drinking alcohol (anything with mostly ethanol)
Step 1: Cut newspaper big enough to cover the nails

I had trouble finding an article without death, war, and/or politics as topics... -_-

Step 2: Apply base coat

Step 3: Apply nude color polish

Step 4: Apply ethanol product on the nails

Make sure it is just enough to dampen the surface! ;)

Step 5: Paste the newspaper on the nail

Press it down and don't shift it around!

Step 6: Apply a little more ethanol product on newspaper

I got lazy on this step for my middle and ring finger...
That's why those don't look as pretty. =(

Step 7: Carefully peel the newspaper

Nicely done!! >=D
Now repeat steps 4~7!!

 Step 8: Apply clear coat

The fonts darken when top coat is applied! =D

Complete!
Ignore my middle and ring finger design, please... T_T

[Nail Art] Citrus Delight

I am back after yet another failure on my driving test... sigh

Anyways, I am hearing that bright colors are trendy these days~

Since the only bright color I have from my palette is orange, today's nail art will be very fruity! ;D

By the way, I made lemon tea a couple of days ago, and it was successful!

I might upload the recipe later~ ^^

Yummy~~

 Today's materials are:
  • clear polish
  • base coat
  • gold glitter polish
  • orange polish
  • white nail art pen
  • vaseline
  • pin (or anyting with a small round end)

 Step 1: Apply base coat

 Step 2: Apply orange polish

Make sure you draw it circular!

Step 3: Draw the white part of the fruit with white nail art pen
 Just like an orange~

Step 4: Use pin to add random orange circles on leftover space
I would be most effective with minimum number of circles with varying sizes! =)

Step 5: Apply gold glitter polish just over the orange (the fruit)
Just a thin layer because you don't want too much glitter to ruin the design. =(

 Step 6: Apply clear coat

The funny thing is, with the same design, you can pick yellow to do lemon or pick green to do lime! =D

I think I taste vitamin C right now!! XD

[Nail Art] Chic Zebra Print

A couple of days ago, I went to Everland and it was fun!!! =D

The last time I had been there was years ago, and I found the Safari very entertaining.

So, today's design is going to be..........Drum roll please~

Zebra Print!!!!! >_<

Heck yes! Also, I am actually thinking about uploading a leopard print next week!

We'll see how it turns out! ;D

Lion King music in the background~

 Today's necessary items are:
  • Base coat
  • Clear polish
  • White polish
  • Glitter polish (preferably silver)
  • Black nail art pen
  • Sponge
  • Vaseline
 Step 1: Apply base coat

This is very important because it lessens the damage to your nails!

Step 2: Paste vaseline on the skin of each finger

This will save us time from removing the nail polish on the skin after sponge dapping.

Step 3: Apply white polish on the edge of the sponge

Are you ready for the mess? >=D

Step 4: Dap the sponge diagonally until the end of the nail is coloured

We don't want to leave any ugly white end of our nails to show, do we? ;)

Step 5: Apply glitter polish on the edge of the sponge

Just as we did with the white polish~

Step 6: Dap the sponge diagonally fading into the white gradient

Step 7: Draw zebra pattern diagonally with black nail art pen

Start from the sides then lightly lift the art pen to narrow the ends.

Step 8: Apply clear coat

Let it dry and we're done! =D

Tada! Here is our chic end result! >_<

We'll see you next weekend!!
