Alright, my first official blog post! >_<
Oh my, it's already Valentine's Day o.O
Oh my, it's already Valentine's Day o.O
My poor single soul~ T^T
But for you lucky ladies with dates (which makes me super jealous!),
today's blog will be about a nail art technique called water marbling.
Gosh, this darn technique took me forever to get it right -_-^

The materials you'll need are:
Step 1: Apply the base coat
Step 2: Apply one of your Valentine's Day colour polish
I chose white so I had to coat it twice. It rhymes! =D
Step 3: Open the clear polish and your other Valentine's Day colour polish
Prepare yourself for upcoming speed trial! >=D
Step 4: Fill the disposeable cup with water about one inch below the rim
Yes, I know about the messy cup. It's called recycling, hun. ;)
Step 5: Time for speedy polish drops! Go, go, go!
Alternate your colour and don't let it drip too high from the surface because it will sink if you do so! =O
Create as many rings of colours as you want. =)
Step 6: Time Attack! Take the pin needle and swirl it like the baristas do with latte art
Nail polish will tend to dry quicker on water so stroke it before it dries! >=D
You can experiment and make hearts, butterflies, or just plain old abstract design, but don't go more than about 3~4 strokes.
Then let it sit for a while.
Step 7: Apply the vaseline on your finger (not your nail)
The next step will get messy, but vaseline will make the uneeded polish peel right off.
Hooray to chemistry! =D
Step 8: Dip your nail horizonal to the water surface
Don't pull your finger out just yet or else you're screwed! >=(
Step 9: Take a cotton swab and get rid of the left over polish still floating around your finger
If you pulled your finger out before this step, you now know why. =P
The partially dried polish is like a thin layer of plastic wrap so pulling it out before removing the leftover would destroy your initial design! =(
Step 10: Take your finger out and lightly remove the moisture
Be careful, you might leave a fingerprint on your almost-complete nail art! =(
Step 11: Use the pin needle to remove uneeded polish design
See? It peels right off!
Vaseline saved our lives! Yay! =D
Step 12: Apply clear polish
Of course, this is once the swirl design is completely dry. ^^
Step 13 (Optional): Decorate or cover up mistakes with glitter art pen or cubics
I chose to do some gold glitter lines on some boring ones. =P
Repeat the steps for the rest of your nail and then you're done!!!
